Our guiding principles
Discover the foundational truths and core convictions that define the North American English Rite Catholic Church. We invite you to explore what we believe and how these principles shape our community and mission.

Our core convictions
At the heart of the North American English Rite Catholic Church are a few essential truths we want everyone to clearly understand:
First, we are fully Catholic in faith and practice. We believe in the historic, apostolic faith of the Church—rooted in Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and Apostolic Succession. Our teachings are not new or reinvented, but received and faithfully preserved from the earliest centuries of Christianity.
Second, the Sacraments—especially the Eucharist—are central to everything. We believe God’s grace is truly and tangibly encountered through the Sacraments. Our worship reflects this, particularly through the reverent and ancient form of the Sarum Rite, where beauty, order, and theology come together to draw people into the presence of God.
Third, we exist to form and shepherd souls in truth and love. We are not only about preserving tradition—we are about helping people grow in holiness, find stability in faith, and belong to a community that is both faithful to God and caring for one another.

Making a difference in lives
The beliefs of the North American English Rite Catholic Church are not just theological ideas—they are meant to shape and transform real lives in meaningful, lasting ways.
First, they provide stability and clarity. In a world that often feels uncertain and constantly changing, people find grounding in a faith that is consistent, historic, and trustworthy. Knowing what the Church believes—and why—gives individuals a sense of direction, purpose, and spiritual security.
Second, the Church’s sacramental life offers real encounters with grace and healing. Through reverent worship, especially within the beauty of the Sarum Rite, people experience peace, renewal, and a deeper connection with God. The Sacraments become moments where burdens are lifted, faith is strengthened, and lives are restored.
Third, these beliefs foster strong, compassionate community. Because the Church is committed to truth with charity, it becomes a place where people are both challenged to grow and supported with love, forming deep bonds that reflect Christ's unconditional care.

Our Catechism
What makes the North American English Rite Catholic Church unique is that it holds together things that are often separated in other churches.
First, we are fully Catholic in belief and sacramental life, but independent in structure. That means we preserve the historic faith, Apostolic Succession, and the fullness of the Sacraments—without being shaped by the internal changes or pressures of larger denominations.
Second, our worship is deeply traditional and distinctly English. Through the use of the Sarum Rite, we offer a form of Christianity that is ancient, reverent, and beautiful—something many people have never experienced, yet immediately recognize as sacred and meaningful.
Third, we combine strong doctrine with real pastoral care. Some churches focus heavily on rules, others only on personal experience—we intentionally hold both together. We believe truth matters, but so does how people are guided, supported, and cared for in their daily lives.
"The clarity and depth of faith I found at the North American English Rite Catholic Church have given my life a renewed sense of purpose and peace. It's a truly unique and enriching spiritual home."
