Our mission: nurturing faithful leaders

The Franciscan Graduate School of Divinity is dedicated to forming faithful, knowledgeable, and spiritually mature leaders for the Church. Through rigorous study of Scripture, Theology, and the historic Catholic tradition, including both Western and Eastern liturgies, we prepare priests, deacons, and lay leaders to serve with wisdom, reverence, and pastoral care. Our students are trained to celebrate the Sacraments faithfully, preach effectively, and guide their communities in holiness, all while remaining rooted in the English Catholic heritage and the broader Apostolic tradition.

What makes our seminary unique?

  • Faithfulness to Apostolic Tradition: Grounding students in Scripture, historic doctrine, and Apostolic Succession.
  • Liturgical mastery: Training clergy in the Sarum Rite, the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, and Eastern liturgical traditions like the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
  • Pastoral formation: Developing leaders who can guide, counsel, and care for their congregations with wisdom and compassion.
  • Spiritual discipline: Encouraging a life of prayer, personal holiness, and devotion, so that students’ ministry flows from their own relationship with God.
  • Mission and service: Equipping leaders to build vibrant parishes, engage local communities, and spread the Gospel faithfully.
