A Beacon of Faith
The Most Reverend Mark A. Evans II serves as the Senior Metropolitan Archbishop of the North American English Rite Catholic Church, providing spiritual, pastoral, and ecclesiastical leadership to the Church throughout North America. As the senior metropolitan, he works closely with the College of Bishops, clergy, and faithful to uphold the Church's mission of proclaiming the Gospel, preserving the historic Christian faith, and fostering unity within the Church.
His Role and Responsibilities
As Senior Metropolitan, Archbishop Evans also supports the formation of seminarians, the establishment of new missions and dioceses, and the continued development of the Church's ministries. His vision is to cultivate a faithful, Christ-centered Church that proclaims the Gospel with reverence, charity, and conviction while remaining rooted in the historic catholic faith. In addition to his episcopal responsibilities, Archbishop Evans is an educator, author, and lecturer. He has developed numerous resources in biblical studies, theology, canon law, and liturgy to assist in the formation of clergy and the spiritual growth of the laity. Through teaching, writing, and preaching, he seeks to equip Christians with a deeper understanding of the faith and a lifelong commitment to discipleship.
